What is a Safe Zone? A Safe Zone is a person or place where all people can bring their authentic selves and feel safe, welcome, and included. Safe Zone supports the LCC guiding principle of supporting a diverse and inclusive environment. This interactive training includes information about LGBTQ+ terminology, coming out, respectful communication, and inclusive spaces. Participants who complete the 3-hour Safe Zone Training may choose to take a sticker/lapel pin signifying them as a Safe Zone for students. Participants are encouraged to bring their personal mobile device (tablet or phone) to this session.
